Brad was born and raised in Revere, Massachusetts, a North Shore suburb of Boston, where he attended public school from elementary through High School. As a member of the Baby Boom generation of the 50’s and 60’s he absorbed the wide range of the metropolitan ethnic influences. The historical richness of Boston along with its freedom loving and patriotic values formed the core of his value system. He then attended the University of Florida in Gainesville where he obtained two Bachelor’s degrees in Food Science and Agriculture, as well as a Minor degree in Psychology. During his extensive undergraduate studies, he acquired a broad educational base, including Biology, Biochemistry, and Nutrition as well as Psychology and Communication.

After graduating from the University of Florida he worked for 5 years in the food processing industry in quality control. This work experience motivated his steadfast commitment to providing top quality products and services.

Healthcare Field

He moved to South Florida in 1986 where he established himself in the healthcare field in the areas of Substance Abuse and Mental Health Treatment. Needless to say, coming from his urban Northeast background, he experienced a radical shift in experience as he immersed himself into the traditional differences and value system of life in the South. He gained a deep respect, appreciation, and understanding of the wide variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds present in the Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach areas.

After deciding to make the focus of his work on Psychology, Brad returned to education and gained the necessary credentials for the field by obtaining a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Barry University, a Certificate Degree in Substance Abuse Counseling from University of Miami, Certifications as an Addiction Professional and Hypnotherapist from the Florida Certification Board and the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. He also received his licensure from the Florida Department of Health for Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapy.

Professional Experience

Brad has been in the Counseling and Healthcare field working in numerous capacities and settings. Some of those include Residential and Outpatient Treatment of Substance Abuse and Mental Illness, Case Management for Homelessness, Hospital Based Behavioral Health which included Psychotherapy, Relapse Prevention and Hypnosis. As a result of his educational career and personal experiences he has a broad understanding of the psychological and psychiatric factors that affect all areas of human development, functioning, and relationships. These experiences have enhanced his ability to accurately identify, communicate, and guide his patients through their personal course of positive change and recovery.

Propelled by his strong desire to ease the pain and suffering of others, he has dedicated life’s work to providing the best quality of care to help his patients achieve their goals of change and recovery. His emphasis is to help his patients thrive to find the happiness and fulfillment that each individual deserves. At the center of Brad’s Existential and Theoretical treatment philosophy is the value he places on validating and honoring individual backgrounds and experiences. He respects and honors all cultures and works alongside his patients to achieve their personal goals. Over the past 3 decades Brad has dedicated himself to helping others heal and recover from the issues and obstacles that block and prevent them from regaining their health and happiness, by helping them to identify and develop to their full potential. It is his joy to see his patients achieve the goals that will bring them lifelong pride and fulfillment.

Family Life

In addition to his work, Brad has been happily married for the past 25 years and is a father and grandfather of 4 grandchildren. He has been practicing yoga and meditation and a vegetarian since he was 20 years old. Brad has variety of other interests and hobbies including writing, humor, music, and hypnosis. He is also a singer-songwriter with a CD titled “ Take that Pill “ available on Amazon and iTunes. He is committed to promoting the Human Rights of Peace, Safety, and Freedom and a strong advocate of humane treatment and preventing cruelty to animals. He has established the Haber Foundation for Peace to promote this mission and is the author of the “Pledge of Peace “found on the Haber Foundation Website. He highly values his family and friends and is strongly committed to teaching, role modeling, encouraging, and providing a clear example of his beliefs and values. Brad lives his life with an attitude of optimism and enthusiasm and believes that anyone who desires can change, grow, develop and live a fulfilling and purposeful life.

Brad’s Hobbies

As a free-spirited songwriter with an eclectic combination of musical styles, he is able to examine life through many of his soul-searching experiences and relate them to his listeners. He is able to express his creative energies from serene ballads and electrifying rock and roll to resonate to the deepest levels of the emotional and spiritual experiences that we all share.

Frequently looking at life with an attitude of optimism and humor, he believes anyone who desires change can improve their lives.
